We believe
that the diligent protection of our environmental resources
will enhance both the regional quality of life with reduced
health risks and the long-term competitiveness of our
industries.
I am hopeful that IPEC 2008, the First International
Petroleum Environmental Cnference and Exhibition, will
provide rewarding opportunities and forum for petroleum and
petrochemical industry professionals, scientists, manager
and technical personnel’s to share new ideas, experiences,
technologies, enhance knowledge, generate stimulating
dialogue, and network with global peers. The extent to which
these aims are achieved depends on the much needed response,
encouragement from perspective sponsors, active
participation of the attendees and upon presentation of high
quality and state of the art technical papers and
scientific, technical, innovation and commercial exhibits.
The conference has adopted the theme “Towards a Cleaner
greener and responsible Petroleum Industrial Environment”.
It will focus on lessons learnt from best practices and
address present and future environmental concerns including
hot topic like climate change, environmental foot prints and
fair share of environment space and progress in the
petroleum and petrochemical industries in Libya and its
surrounding Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa
(MENA), Arabian Gulf and Euro-Med region. Forecast of the
current and future strategy and plan of action and
opportunities in Libya will be addressed amongst an
anticipated participation of esteemed world class speakers
interested delegates from oil companies, corporations,
academia, scientific and research organization as well as
other prominent individuals including top notch experts from
the World. Distinguished guests will include top executives
